Gordon is a subject matter expert in helping people gain clarity about the direction in which they would like to take their careers and leads the development of MyCareerBrand's tools for Career Direction and Development - What's Next. Gordon guides people as they work through options, and any obstacles, to affirm their current career direction or pursue a change. Plans are developed to realise career goals that are aligned with life goals.

Gordon is passionate about the benefits of individuals pausing at any stage of their career, reflecting on what they want to achieve in their career, and then going for it (with great resources and coaching)! He draws upon carefully selected models that enable people to be successful. Examples of these models include transition management and critical career crossroads/leadership passages.

Gordon has significant experience in helping people to work out ‘what’s next’ when they are planning for - or have reached, a time in their lives when they may wish to pivot from their current careers. Individuals may be considering leaving the corporate world and may no longer need or want to work in full-time, paid employment. It’s an opportunity to imagine a new life and beginnings and successfully work through the transitions that accompany major change. The outcome is a new, rich, and fulfilling life.

Dovetailing into MyCareerBrand's Job Search coaching Gordon leads the programme development for Onboarding - coaching, and tools designed to successfully transition our clients into new roles.

Gordon has extensive leadership and executive role experience working in corporates, consulting firms, and his businesses. From working in multinational organisations he knows what it is like to work in cross-border global teams, experiencing deep cultural differences, and working in matrix management structures with the associated complexities and challenges. Gordon has worked in or consulted with a wide range of industries and sectors and has lived and worked in several different countries, which has provided him with a wealth of experience to draw upon for his coaching.

“Whilst it’s great to understand models such as change and transition management, there’s no substitute for also personally experiencing many different career changes and personal life-stage transitions. The combination of useful practical models and my career and life experiences enables me to be a more effective career coach and to support my career coaching clients to achieve their career goals. I enjoy helping people set and achieve their goals by providing them with a great road map and valuable resources.”

Gordon has been described by clients as warm and engaging.
